Mitering is what I learned how to do a few weekends ago over at my good friend Audrey's house.
See, I have been working on a quilt... a real quilt.
We're talking creating the design, doing the geometry, cutting and piecing the pieces, top stitching, binding, and MITERING.
Mitering: To create a diagonal seam at a corner to make a right angle.
It's not the simplest thing in the world, but Audrey made it look easy. She is a professional quilter... which she would deny. I figure when something you've quilted is hanging in a museum in Georgia,
you're pretty high up there!
She helped me take my quilting skills to the next level.
So, here's the picture of the quilt I found on the internet for inspiration....
An here's my final product! This dark picture doesn't do the bright colors justice.

Wow Natalie, I love it!
Awesome! It looks amazing. I'll bet it feels so great to look at it and know that you did that. :) I love learning how to create new things, but a full-on quilt has yet to make it on that "learned" list for me. Good job!
i love how it turned out! way to go! cant wait to see your next one!
Wow! That is beautiful. You should feel very proud of yourself. Miss you!
