We're about to Be Clobbered!

My boss sent me an email this morning encouraging me to take some things home with me today to work on Tuesday and Wednesday because he doesn't know if I'll be able to get back to work for a few days.  He then proceeded to give me this update on the weather forecast...

"We are under a winter storm warning from now until noon on Wednesday.  There is a forecast for 12-15 inches of snow in our area between late this afternoon and Wednesday morning. The storm is supposed to start with up to a tenth of an inch of freezing rain this afternoon and evening. (So the roads will get a sheet of ice and then be covered in snow) Tomorrow, we are also supposed to have winds from 25-30 miles per hour with gusts of over 40 miles per hour, so visibility will reach white out conditions.  Please do not risk your safety or your vehicles trying to come to work on Tuesday or Wednesday if the weather is hazardous.  The other thing you need to be aware of is the extremely cold weather that will occur on Wednesday (high of 14 degrees and a low of -6 degrees - and these are straight temperatures, not wind chill readings).  If you need to get extra supplies in your homes to ride out this storm, please do it today.  Once the storm starts, it will be too late."

So Prepare yourselves, friends of Northern Missouri! We're about to be clobbered!!! I'm headed to Walmart for extra propane for our camping stove (in case we lose electricity) and I'm going to get out all of our flashlights, lanterns, and blankets for easy access. It's fairly common to lose electricity when heavy ice sits on the electrical wires.

I find this rather ironic considering your last post. Good luck getting through this storm! We've had temperatures hitting a brisk 40* overnight here...yeah, my blood's really thinned out since I moved out here. I had the heater on yesterday morning, because it was raining and in the 50s.
